Career Expo Opportunities
As a Career Expo participant, you have the opportunity to meet many incredible young men and women who are passionate about your field of study. They are eager to share their own work with experts in each field of science and learn what options await them beyond their high school years.
The Career Expo has become one of the highlights of the day for the students! There is no financial commitment required to participate in the Career Expo. Although, the time commitment involved is minimal, (typically 9:00am-1:30 including lunch) the impact you could have is great!
What can I expect?
A specific area will be designated for Career Expo Participants (including Universities, Research Labs, industry representatives, companies, and government organizations.) with table space to set up materials and showcase your field and specific line of work.
As students circulate the career fair they will be prepared to ask questions of your representatives at each booth about their field, the courses that are needed to enter that field, possible post secondary degrees, and how they (the students) could find themselves entering that field in just a few short years.
- For those that participated last year, we will be expanding the amount of space used to host the Career Expo participants so that there can be even more opportunity for student conversations.
A Career Expo participant in 2012 said the following “I just love having the opportunity to
talk to students. They are amazed that there are so many options in science careers and I
am blown away by their intrigue. Thanks for making me a part of this day.”
