Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting on-going student research through your expertise and talents. As a Research Patron, you will have the unique opportunity to invest and empower student research by working directly with incredible young people who are passionate about your field.  Leading up to the Gwinnett Science and Engineering Fair, there is an astonishing amount of work that goes on as students design, develop, and complete their projects. The impact of your investment into the student research process will be more significant than you can imagine.

What does a student do when their research goals are bigger than their world?

Research Patrons have the unique opportunity to provide the foundational support that guides students through their projects leading up to the Gwinnett Science and Engineering Fair. As a Research Patron, you will be matched with a motivated student researcher or student research team related to your area of interest. These students are eager to share their ideas and receive feedback from experts in their field of science, like you. In previous years, students state that their research is enriched by the interaction with community members at the regional fair. Your input and expertise into their project will transform their research, education, and future directions.

The Research Patron is a new way to get involved in the Gwinnett Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Please consider cultivating the curiosity of the next generation of engineers and scientists as a Research Patron.

What should I expect?

Research Patrons should expect to communicate electronically or meet with students in order to:

•          Shape the design and analysis of research projects

•          Assist students conducting experiments at local schools

•          Provide feedback and guidance on research projects

What are the requirements?

Research Patrons guide students through the research and engineering process and are required to:

•          Possess expertise in a specific field of science and engineering

•          Have a willingness to share your knowledge with students

•          Communicate with the student researcher on a regular basis

Thank you for your investment in the lives of the next generation of Science & Engineering leaders. Please fill out the Research Patron registration form. If for any reason you are unable to keep your commitment, please contact us at 678-301-7036.
