DEADLINE to affiliate and participate in the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair is in the fall (November 1st) prior to the February fair date.

  • October 1, 2024  — GRSEF Affiliation Agreement due 
  • November 14, 2024 — Local School Science Fair Coordinator Meeting (Zoom link: https://gcpsk12-org.zoom.us/j/94889322056)
  • January 25, 2025 — Last day to hold a Local School Science & Engineering Fair
  • 3 calendar days after Local School Fair — Email ‘Advancing Project Spreadsheet’ to GRSEF (no later than January 28, 2025)
  • February 6, 2025 – Local School Science Fair Coordinator Project Approvals & Paperwork Meeting (In person)
  • Thursday, February 27, 2025  47th Annual Gwinnett Regional Science Engineering + Innovation Fair @ Gas South District, Duluth, Ga (Advancing Students Only)
  • TBD – Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair Awards Celebration 
  • April 3-5 – 77th Annual Georgia Science & Engineering Fair UGA Campus, Athens, Ga
  • May 10-16, 2024 — Regeneron ISEF in Columbus, Ohio

Affiliate your Regional Fair with the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair by October 14, 2023 for your school to be eligible to advance students to the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair.  Please remind students they must obtain approvals and paperwork signatures BEFORE beginning experimentation. All projects for local school fairs require for 1, 1a, and 1b. A project may require more forms based on the type of research.

Guidelines and policy for student participation in school-level and regional-level fairs. 

All projects require form 1, 1a and 1b. Additional forms may be required based on project design and type. Deadline: Forms must be completed and signed PRIOR to beginning the project. Forms are submitted to local school school fair prior to competing. Copies of forms are submitted to the Regional Fair for advancing students.

Regional Fair Entry Form & Regional Fair Media Release/Ethics Form

Project Forms (above) and Regional Fair Entry Form and Media Release/Ethics Form will be submitted using a digital process by February 8, 2025. More information on this process and the link be shared with affiliated fair coordinators November meeting.

Coordinators, complete this form by January 28, 2025 and email it to Tania Muniz


Students should prepare a presentation that will be viewed in advance and/or used with their day of event judging interviews.  Students will be given an assigned time and individual zoom link to meet with judges for their presentation on the day of the event.

How to Qualify for the Georgia Science & Engineering Fair

1st place Middle School & High School winning projects at the Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair will advance to the Georgia Science & Engineering Fair (GSEF) held in Athens, Ga on the campus of the University of Georgia April 11-13, 2024.

Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair Information

Up to 6 top scoring High School Project will advance to the 2025 Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair held Columbus, OH with an expenses paid trip thanks to sponsors!
